Social responsibility
ERGO Group is implementing and supporting social projects in different countries. ERGO contributes to the fostering of the national culture, civic initiatives, helps people in need, takes care of safety and health of residents, entertains community with holidays and strengthens cooperation between business representatives.
Social initiatives of ERGO International:
- Victoria (ERGO) and D.A.S. employees donate money for charity projects and the foundation for children with cancer. The employees also participate in blood donation.
- ERGO and Münich Re financially supported countries devastated by the tsunami, sent medical aid and food products to them, helped them reconstruct schools, and implemented many other projects.
- German Youth and Future Foundation supports projects aimed at physical, mental and social development of children.
- Care is also taken of social integration of the disabled – in Spain and Poland, telephone services to clients are provided by employees suffering from physical disability.
Social initiatives of ERGO Group in Lithuania:
- In 2008–2009, ERGO Group was one of the main sponsors of the Project “The Millennium Odyssey. One Name - Lithuania!”
- In 2009, ERGO Group joined the national project “Family Afternoon at Work” launched by the Ministry of Social Security and Labour.
- For a number of years ERGO has been providing financial assistance to the Specialised School of Kaunas County.
- The Company contributes to the implementation of different cultural projects: supports jazz events, exhibitions, concerts, etc.
- The Company takes care of the safety of people – each autumn it hosts the campaign of accident insurance for pupils.
- ERGO Group is one of the founders of the Chamber of Commerce of Germany and Baltic States. The Chamber promotes economic relationships and strengthens cooperation between representatives of German and Baltic business communities.
